Abstract

|
Light and electron microscopic studies on the effect of NF: on experimental myocardial necrosis in the albino rabbit were carried out.
In comparison with, the control group, the NF-pretreated group showed no significant morphological, changes except for dilatation of blood vessels, accumulation of glycogen granules and focal mitochondrial hyperplasia, whereas the ISO-treated group revealed a variety of inflammatory and ultrastrctural changes
From the above results, it is expected that pretreatment with NF would prevent the cardiac muscles from necrosis during ischemia of the heart.
